This Week at St Kevin's

  • Preparatory students commenced their first full week at school.

  • Kenny students with Mr Junkovic assisted with the preparation and serving of breakfast at St Mary’s House of Welcome.

  • Preparatory students commenced their Swimming Program.

  • McCarthy students with Mr Schottner assisted with the serving of dinner at St Peter and Paul’s in South Melbourne.

  • Year 7H and 7F had their Retreats. 

  • Year 5 students had a presentation from Metro Trains. 

  • Year 8A and 8B took part in their Retreat with visits to All Saints Church in Fitzroy, The Mary MacKillop Centre and St Patrick’s Cathedral. 

  • One of the Year 12 Legal Studies classes visited the County and Supreme Courts. 

  • Year 6 Student Leaders received their badges.

  • Staff taking part in the Centenary Pilgrimage to Ireland attended a briefing.

  • Years 10 - 12 Kenny students and Staff enjoyed their House Function.

  • Year 10 students were immunised. 

  • Year 3 students went to the Melbourne Museum. 

  • A Staff Student Skittle Ball game was held. 

  • An Information Evening was held for the 2019 European Music Tour. 

  • Year 10 students were briefed about their Year 10 Camino Outdoor Education Program, taking place at the end of Term 1. 

  • Year 10 students participated in the VicRoads Roadsmart Program. 

  • The House Rowing and Diving competitions took place. 

  • The Middle School held an Assembly, where they were introduced to their Year 12 Prefects and Officers. 

  • Year 10 students commenced Community Service. 

  • Years 10 - 12 Cusack students enjoyed the Green Dance. 

  • Cusack students and Mr Keenan assisted with the Breakfast and Sports Program at Trinity Primary School in Richmond.

  • The Careers Department held a lunchtime presentation on Medicine at the University of Newcastle with guest speaker Ms Cora Sheridan. 

  • The New Staff at Heyington had a meeting. 

  • The College Board met. 

  • Friday Morning Mass was held in the Chapel of St Kevin. 

  • Year 5 enjoyed Mr Michael Wagner, an Author in Residence. 

  • Dr Chris Wright was the Year 12 Guest Speaker. 

  • St Vincent de Paul held a lunchtime BBQ. 

  • Year 10 Dancing Class was held with Loreto Mandeville Hall. 

  • Purton students and Mr Ross assisted at the Police and Community Recreation Program in Richmond. 

  • Kearney students and Mr Parris assisted with the St Ignatius Tutoring Program in Richmond.

  • Rahill students and Mr Burns assisted with the Fitzroy Reading Program.

  • The Headmaster hosted a Centenary Staff Function. 

  • Year 9 Parents enjoyed a social function. 

  • Staff completed Professional Development in VCE English, Analysing VCE Results and Legal Issues for School Counsellors.
